Yes they do happen all over the world, most of them are found in the United States, east of the Rocky Mountains during the spring and summer months. They say most happen in the middle of the U.S.A.
Water spouts can form in any body of water But the water has to be warm enough for it to form. You almost always know when a tornado is coming because they have sirens to warn you and the wind pick up and it gets really windy:)

I also learned that when a tornado is coming it gets a little green outside and thats another wya you can tell.
